Creating Calendar App Feeds with Microsoft Calendar

From the Screenfeed Account Dashboard choose Configure feeds. 

Locate the Calendars App Feed section

Click Create A Feed

Choose your delivery Method and the shape of your screen. 

Choose a style and pick a calendar view.

Connect to your Calendar by clicking Add A New Calendar

Select your Calendar Data Provider

Data providers are Google Calendar, an iCal formatted Calendar or a Microsoft Calendar

Microsoft Authorization


Choose either an existing account or select Sign in to Authorize calendar with your account. 

You will see a sign in window to enter your Microsoft Account Credentials. 

You may need to be a Microsoft 365 Administrator to authorize Screenfeed for access, contact your administrator for approval.

Select the calendar you wish to show on your display.

Customize your Calendar Style

Options such as font, colors, hide and show logo and location, fallback message, Animation Quality and Logo are available on all views. All views except the Event view include time frame options and preset title options.

Each calendar view has font and color options. Click on the font to see a dropdown of available fonts. Click to choose a font from the list. 

Select the color swatch below the colors heading to choose colors from a color picker or enter hex codes.

Below the colors are options to hide various elements of the calendar. Clicking the checkbox next to Hide Location for example hides the location of the events shown in the calendar preview.

Adjust the time frame and if you want to show the current week or up to three weeks ahead. By clicking the drop down and dragging the slider. 

Click in the text box under Fallback Message and enter in a custom fallback message to show if there are no events from the calendar in the chosen calendar view. 

 Some calendar views include preset title options. Click under title to see the dropdown menu, click on a title to choose an alternate title option. 

If you choose custom there will be a text field that will appear to enter in a custom title. 

Click on the dropdown below Animation Quality to adjust the animation quality for html playback. 

Under the logo heading you can add a logo by dragging a file over the field or clicking to browser from files on your computer. 

Once uploaded a thumbnail of your logo will appear. Click remove to remove the logo. 

The logo will appear in the preview of your customized calendar. 

Click to select your desired language

This does not translate any calendar event data. 

Name your Calendar feed then Click Create Feed

You will be presented with a feed url to copy and paste into your digital signage software. 

Revoking Access

Much like authorizing access revoking calendar access to your microsoft account requires administrative access. If you are not an administrator on the account contact the microsoft account administrator.

From the Microsoft 365 Entra admin center. entra.microsoft.com, select applications then Enterprise applications. 

Scroll or search for Screenfeed Calendar Apps.

Click on the blue text Screenfeed Calendar Apps. You will be directed to a new window. 

Here you can manage the app permissions including conditional access. 

Click properties on the left.. To revoke access altogether click delete at the top.
